Vista is not accepting the password, says invalid user name or password?

I changed the my user account password yesterday and god knows what happened today when I started the system entered the password, its continuously saying wrong password I tried the old one and new both several times, switching on and off the caps lock but nothing is working, is this the case of virus corruption, and is there any way that help me login in to the system?

nikhil 		Is that the normal user account or administrator one, for administrator account if you forget the password and don’t have reset disk, their in no way out for windows password recovery, try your luck and to get rid of the problem one and only way left is OS reinstallation. However, user account password can be easily changed by logging through administrator account and using reset disk.
