How to resolve ‘Scanpst.exe entry point not found’ error?

I have been using MS Outlook for quite a long time but never faced any issue while working with it. But, last night I was just checking my mails and in the mean time I have also upgraded MS Outlook application due to which I guess my PST file has crashed and I am not able to access any of my data’s stored in it. In order to repair the PST file I have used Scanpst.exe tool and an unexpected happened i.e. the tool doesn’t worked and returned with an error message –
“Scanpst.exe - entry point not found
The procedure entry point RCVR_Scan32@28 could not be located in the dynamic link library SCNPST32.dll”
I know nothing about this error message, so please help me to resolve this issue, any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

scotttaylor 		Well, PST corruption issues are very common but when it occurs it comes with many problems and headache for the user. The error message that you have encountered with is likely happens due to incomplete or damaged Outlook installation. The file specified in the error message must have missing or must have facing some issues related to the Outlook incompetent. So, the Scanpst toolcan not repair the PST file. In order to resolve this issue try to repair MS Outlook by reinstalling it again. If the problem still persists then move the PST file to other PC and then use PST repair tool to repair the PST file in your system. Once the problem is resolved in your system then simply restore the PST file and retrieve all the data stored in it. Now, the PST will surely going to work properly.
