How to rebuild corrupted iPhoto 08 database?

I have using iPhoto 08 for quite a long time and never faced any issue with it. But last night I uncle has gifted me a new Mac, so I was just transferring all my files to the new Mac. I have also updated the iPhoto application in that Mac, so that I can avail the new and latest feature. But the thing that has happened with me is just opposite to what I have thought. Now, when I have already performed the updation and migration, I am unable to find any of the images when I opened the iPhoto. I don’t what happened and why the images are missing. So, please help to resolve the issue. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

scotttaylor	Best Answer Well, this is very common case with iPhoto that whenever you migrate or upgrade the previous version of iPhoto with the newer one, the iPhoto database becomes corrupt. But the images or photos stored in it are recoverable, only some steps need to be followed. The steps are as follows – • Launch iPhoto by holding down the option+command (Apple Key) when clicking the iPhoto icon/application • Now, Rebuild Photo Library window will be visible, so Click Rebuild when you’re ready. • Upgrading (rebuilding) the Thumbnails will likely take the most time during this process. I had about 400 photos in my library and it took just under 2 minutes. • You’ll see a little Loading photos… status update as things progress. • Up next is Rebuilding Thumbnail Caches. This doesn’t take much time at all. • And before you know it, your iPhoto library has been completely restored.
