How can I recover HFS+ file format ?

I am a mac user and using mac10.2. HFS+ format is supported by my system. I was doing some office work and suddenly power fails and when it came back my files are corrupted because an error message is showing on my monitor that file system is corrupted. Now how can I recover them? Can anyone tell me?
