How can I fix ‘drive not installed’ error message in Mac OS X?

While accessing data from Mac OS X hard drive I got an error message which says ‘drive not installed’. I don’t know what this error is all about as I am a new user of computer. As per the message it seems that there is some problem related to the drive, but there is nothing like that as all the drives are installed properly. I am really in a mess, so please help me out. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

soniyabedi 		The error that you mentioned occurs when the Mac OS X can not recognize the hard drive installed in your system for several reasons with the operating system, file system, and other system data structures. The corruption may also occur due to several reasons like virus infections, power interruptions etc. Due to these many data loss situations occurs and this situation is so hectic that until you fix this issue, you will not be able to access any data from the Mac OS X hard drive.

In order to fix the issue first try Disk Utility tool, this will detect and repair your file system effectively. But is the corruption is really very serious and there is no option other than formatting the system then in such circumstances OS X Data Recovery software can help you out by recovering the data from the corrupted hard drive.
