Help me in getting Converter for avi file format to my iPod. ?

I have some video files in the file format of avi. I want to transfer these files on my iPod. But I’m not getting the way for converting my files. First of all I need to change the file format in the iPod format. Does any one have used such type of conversion before? If yes than help me on the conversion of avi files.

Shalin 		I too had some video files which I want to convert in my iPod as I want to show it to my school and college friends. But I was not getting any file converter. Than my elder cousin solved my problem. He suggested me to use that converter which is simply found compatible with my iPod. Than I just used iPod File Converter and simply my avi files get converted in iPod without making any loss of quality in sound and picture.
