Getting ‘Exchange is unable to mount the database you specified.MapiExecptionNotFound’ error message when I tried to mount the database to exchange server 2007 after upgrading from exchange 2000. ?

I upgraded from exchange 2000 to 2007, exchange 2007 was running on a new server and both were in use at the time when I got the error as- Exchange is unable to mount the database you specified.MapiExecptionNotFound when I was in the process of mounting the database, and as a result I am unable to mount the database, this error is keeping me off from doing so. How to fix it.

peter1 		You are not able to mount the database because of the error and it is because there is a corrupted transaction log file on exchange 2000. Manual removal of log file is not generally useful, so you should better avoid it. It is required that the database needs to be brought back to clean shutdown state with eseutil/r for recovery i.e. the process of playing log files of database. Soft recovery should be the first attempt, in which transaction log replay process occurs when database is mounted after an unexpected stop or when transaction logs are replayed into an offline file backup copy of database. But, in case it does not happen as expected hard recovery/repair is to be done for exchange server recovery in which the transaction log file is replayed after restoring database from online backup.
