File is corrupted and a fatal error is displayed! ?

I was performing a task on my computer system. It was having XP that time. Suddenly file of XP got corrupted. Then a message was displayed to format the system. Instead of formatting I reinstalled XP again. I don’t want to loose my file. For that I need special assistance from you or any other medium that can repair the file and recover the data both. Will by recovering and repairing the file fatal error will be removed? Suppose in future I switch to vista then can the medium of protection would be same?

gamilo 		Oops, fatal error comes because of some applications loaded in it. Remove them. The files you think, occurs corruption unload it from your OS. Try data recovery software. Search about some of them on net and then select as per its features. There are data recovery vista software too, Which can be easily found and thus you can retain your data back.

nomilia 		Instead of reinstalling it cancel some of the programs which are loaded in your system. Huge storage also gives loss of data. You can do this by quitting the setup and by reverting to previous OS. Then remove the program like antivirus applications etc. and then run the setup again. To do XP data recovery, you can make the backup of the files while you install XP. If in the backup file, some data are missing then you can try XP data recovery software.

shenril 		To remove fatal error restart the computer when “Please select the operating system to start” comes then press the button F8. Then select Last Known Good Configuration from the list Windows Advanced Option Menu and then click on enter button. Then Microsoft Windows XP in “Please select the operating system to start” and then bang on to start XP OS. If this doesn’t solve the fatal problem then try any data recovery XP software. It repair and retrieve your data.
