My G4 laptop crashed when I was running a task. Then to check I executed a hardware test. It indicated that because of mass storage error that is 2STF/8/3:ATA-100ata-6-master it crashed. I have loaded very important files on the partitioned hard drives. How I can run away from the trouble and manage collecting files of my laptop?

arunima 		Possibility of recovering file depends up on the issue that is on volume or hardware. To check that start he computer. If unlikable sound comes from the hard drive then that is the hardware failure. In that situation you can take it to authorized dealer. You can do it by yourself as well by data recovery Mac software. Such software is designed for Macintosh operating system. It is quite cheap to afford and able to recover data containing files and folders from every hard drive. This is the third party software which you can get on the net. Hope you can access the steps to recover data.
